And old shot Mosley manage to land on floyd and hurt him bad.

Ortiz is faster, stronger and more powerfull this days than shane, and on top of that he is a southpaw wich May has had some troubles in the past. Plus Mayweather has lost a small step in his reflexes.

If Ortiz lands like Mosley did I wont be surprise to see Mayweather down, but thats a big IF!!
It amazes me how you haters put all your hopes, dreams and fantasies about Mayweather losing on one punch. Mosley landed one good punch in 12 rounds against Mayweather. The punch didn't knock him down, didn't knock him out and Mayweather won the rest of the round and all the following rounds. Yet, you haters talk about it as if it was the phantom knockout punch that Ali landed against Sonny Liston.

Ortiz is not faster or stronger or more powerful than Mosley and he won't beat Mayweather. You claim that Mayweather has had trouble against southpaws in the past. Howver, none of them have beaten him. And as for Mayweather losing a step in his reflexes, you haters said the same thing about him when he fought Mosley and he still won.

This is a fantasy thread because the idea of Ortiz beating Mayweather is a fanstasy -- nothing more. However, losing to Mayweather will be beneficial to Ortiz in at least one way -- by losing to Mayweather, Ortiz will assure himself of a shot against Manny Pacquaio within a year.

Or are people only impressed when a fighter cherrypicks 1 fighter to fight once every 14months?

Look at Vitali/Wlad, fighting 2-3 times a year and cleaning up their division. Would they be better if they sat on their ass talking trash and fighting 1 guy every 14 months?
If they fought a quality guy.. sure thats cool... Wlad just fought a CW and Vitali is about to fight a CW...... Mayweather Took on mosley when he was up there on the P4P list...now hes Fighting ortiz who is number 2 welter i believe? At least he's fighting top comp. GTFOH with ur hatred.

You're very on point with this. I've been saying this for a while myself.

The attention will shift away from Mayweather losing to Ortiz, to Ortiz himself as a fighter.

Ortiz beating Mayweather will turn into revisionist history. We will have armchair knobs debating his boxrec, and whether the Mayweather victory was over a shot, smaller weight fighter, I.E. the same way it's being done to Hopkins taking Tito's 0, and removing him from the P4P rankings.
