Andre Ward's trainer: We're learning how to surgically remove you from a fight

I agree that Ward probably decisions Froch, based on superior athleticism and superior technique, but if you think that it's going to be easy then you either haven't watched Carl Froch fight or just don't understand boxing.
Forget how slow Froch looks, forget how bad his defence can be and remember the fact that Froch has been in the ring with six world class fighters in a row, finding a way to beat five of them and narrowly losing a disputable decision in the other. Froch has the pure will of a warrior and always adapts to his opponents. Froch is going to have a hard time adapting to Ward, but he'll find a way to make this a tough fight.Comment

Sven Ottle won his first belt at SMW in his 13th fightThen the history of the SMW division is not long enough to be comparable.
And, there are no SMW right now who can KO a HW or are as quick as a FW either.
I like Hunter, he's a very underrated trainer. I don't know why he gets so overlook.
But, he sounded a little idiotic to me in this interview. And, yes good fighters get KO'd.
In the history of the sport, there's a long list of GOOD fighters who have been KO'd.
So I have not even a clue of what he was referring to when making that statement.Comment

I like the title of the thread. Classic quote.
But some of the other stuff Virgil said wasn't convincing and seemed like he was just on the defensive for his fighter. All he needed to say is "it doesn't matter if Andre Ward doesn't have KO power, we will box the socks off everyone"Comment
