      Interesting....first Angulo than Montiel
it was a perfect left hook to the jaw of his opponent,

        Don't forget Marquez

And judging from that replay, it didn't seem like Montiel landed anything significant. It could have just been the angle, though.

This fight helped Montiel to be a little more careful, that's why during the first two rounds he decided that it was best to find his perfect distance, and then attack, unlike the fight with Nonito when he was just too eager to attack and was caught by a good hand by the Filipino boxer.
Nah, he will never beat Nonito. Nonito is a better boxer and his punches are tighter and sharper. 9 out of 10 punches Nonito will land first and it will be even worse if Montiel tries to box him as he is also a better outside boxer. He thought he had a chance inside but he was wrong.

I didn't see anything land either.

Just saw the video, I'm sorry but Montiel looked like **** in that fight. He was squaring himself too much and his attacks were very reckless.

I actually thought he looked good against Donaire (minus the KO of course). But in this last fight, he looked utterly careless.

Just watched Fernando Montiel's 3rd-rd KO of Alvaro Perez from Sat night. Honestly, he went down from punch that didn't look like it landed.

The first round was about even, the commentators gave it to Choculito, no problem; but they also gave him the 2nd round??? I also thought it was a quick count, although I think Montiel will still emerge victorious one way or another...
