Demetrius Andrade vs. Alfredo Angulo DISCUSS

Or maybe it was obvious what HBO was trying to do.From ******** boxing.
It’s hard to understand why he would not take the fight when he’s never got that kind of money before in the past. It could be that Angulo was afraid he couldn’t win the fight and by asking for more money than they’re willing to give, Angulo could be showing that he doesn’t want to fight Martinez.

Why would Angulo have to move up a division to fight a much more experienced and, yes, more talented opponent for not THAT much when he's still prime and marketable? HBO wants to make a star out of a guy with star talent and wanted to hand pick Angulo for it.
Angulo has every right to realize he probably loses that fight and not take it when it's not in his division and he has no need to leave his division. Is Peter Quillen a ***** for not going from 160 prospect contender to opponent for the star fighter a division up that he most likely doesn't beat? Duh.
As for the topic... laughable. Angulo DESTROYS this guy. I'm sorry but Demetrius Andrade has barely fought anybody and has shown signs of being a mental midget. He's been pushed hard by TERRIBLE opponents simply because they came to win and threw punches causing Andrade to stink it up and hope "boxing" like an amateur would do it. Andrade isn't even ready to fight ex champions (of which Angulo just knocked out in one round).
Andrade hasn't even been hit by anybody worth bragging about. Alfredo Angulo since early in his career has been knocking out guys who have been at least fringe contenders and otherwise experienced pros. You really want to be he can't beat an amateur? That's all Andrade still is. An amateur that is good at being faster. Doesn't take much to do that.Comment
