He would maybe be the future of the HW division if he wasn't already 39 years old. Heavyweights can be good until their early 40s, but he can't be developing at age 39.
I agree that Mitchell needs to prove that he has a chin. He has the type of style where he will have to take punches, so that was a good point.
I think over Mitchell's next 3-4 fights we're going to see how serious Golden Boy is about him. If they actually believe he has potential to be heavyweight champ, they'll be gradually stepping up his opposition (Mollo, Kevin Johnson, Monte Barrett, etc.) Or, they might give him one more fight and then put him in with a Klitschko (cash out while they still can).
It would be a shame if they went the Klitschko route.
