What is the interest in Visionqwest?

I don't really get what the interest in Visionqwest is? Does it somehow relate to his fighting or the matches he's going to be making? Why is it getting such news?

Initially I ignored it, thinking it was just some boring news about his accounting details, none of which I give the slightest toss about, but there just seemed to be so much interest that I finally read something about it, only to find out that it's indeed about nothing more than his accounting details.

Why is this creating such a stir? Is it because Bob Arum and Kuntz are trying to screw Pac over? If you didn't already know that about five years ago, you're thick as a brick. It's Bob Arum and Kuntz people! What did you expect? For Arum to be storing Pac's money safely away for only Pac to use on a rainy day?

Pac will be broke before he ever finishes his boxing career, and if he's lucky to have something left when he does, it'll be gone in a few years.

Exactly right. I never understood what the big deal was about.

It didn't/doesn't affect anything as a Pac fan in anyway. So I don't get it.

It just for people how have female traits and care about how much money another man has.

Personally I always thought it was just a ploy. It Pac team "creating an issue/turmoil" inside a camp. As a way to show that Pac is "distracted" and not fully focused on JMM and with the turmoil making JMM chance of winning "seem bigger" while really there's not being no turmoil.

That's what I think. But, who knows.

It has become a part of the sports news culture.
Fight Hype reports on it. Boxing scene reports on it, and ESPN reports on it.

ESPN reports on NFL contracts. If an athlete's house goes into foreclosure, it's reported on.

If Serena Williams signs a big endorsement deal, it's reported.

Forbes regularly publishes the lists of highest paid actors, rappers, athletes.

What I find interesting, however, is how (many of) the same people who claim not to care when negative stories come out about their favourite fighter's finances were the same people cheering and celebrating when positive news came out. That is what I view as , um, 'estrogenic'.

Pac signs endorsement deal with HP: Yay. Yippee.

Pac loses endorsement deal with HP: Who fkn cares?

Too early. He's months away from Camp.

Hey, you getting in on the Floyd discussion in the other thread? That seems like your kinda party.

Doesn't matter. It's still can be the beginning of the storyline.

Pac team love to use distractions as way of promoting his fights for some reason. From a typhoon, tsunami or whatever to Ariza punching out Koncz, to Pac staying in the Philippines a little bit longer than what Roach wanted to.

But, like I said who knows...

                    And, what discussion?
