Comments Thread For: Juanma on His Personal Issues, Moving Up, More

Former two division champion Juan Manuel Lopez, who returns on October 1 against Mike Oliver at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, has disclosed that he sought psychological help in an attempt to reorganize his private life and boxing career. In his last outing, in April, Juanma suffered his first loss as a pro when he was stopped by Orlando Salido in eight rounds and in his personal life he was going through a divorce.

good to see he got some help with his inner demons. he will be just fine, and he will redeem the loss against salido if he wants it bad enough. . .

Get your **** together Juanma, man the **** up and let's move forward.

EDIT: Wow so he plans to go all the way up to 135? Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at 140 in the future, would be interesting to see.

No surprise. I can certainly see JuanMa moving up to 135 in a couple of years. 140 isn't out of the question, but that would be pushing it. Some dangerous fighters currently at lightweight. It'll be interesting to see if Lopez can carry his power to 135. Problem is, his chin is already questionable. If he doesn't correct his recent tendency to ****, he'll be sparked out by the heavier hitters at lightweight. What do you think would happen to JuanMa is Brandon Rios caught him?

Damn there are boxers who send other boxers to the hospital.

Orlando Salido sent Juan Manuel Lopez to a psychologist.

                  Maybe.

But is it really Arum's fault that Gamboa could beat Salido, but Lopez can't?
