Many people (including myself) thought that Broner lost to Ponce. If you say Gamboa has been floored by lesser opponents, other people can turn around and say that Ponce De Leon is no where near as quick handed, as busy or brings the kind of intangibles that Gamboa does. Even if Broner is jabbing him, i can see Gamboa winning the fight on being more busier and active alone for the simple fact that Broner rarely even lets his hands go. Even in the fight with Lizau he was being out worked in that first round until the KO. Broner is going to have a lot of problems with high energy type fighters if he continues to fight the way he does.

I think that has to do more with his inexperience, I feel like if all he does is get better from here on in then he can beat Gamboa. as is he stands a fighting chance. honestly though against Ponce he didn't look like he took it too serious, his whole demeanor leading up to that fight was "how can he beat me or even challenge me", he would criticize Ponce in ways that just made it seem like he was sleeping on the guy. if you remember the lead up to the fight and even things that Broner said after the fight you'll realize that even though it was Daniel Ponce De Leon he was facing in his mind it was no competition

another thing you have to remember is timing beats speed, Broner was fast but De Leon was smart and was able to contend. I think in a rematch Broner would win much more convincing because he would know who he's facing this time around.

Gamboa is too open, holds his hands to low and is just too open for that flush counter shot. trust me I love Yuriorkis Gamboa I been following him since his first pro fight and knew of him since even before that but IMO styles make fights and separating the men from their styles and evaluating styles alone I have to favor Broner's more technically tuned style.

he has what it takes to keep Gamboa off him I believe, will he? that remains to be seen but I feel like if all he does is et better then in 2-3 years when I feel is when this fight will take place I feel he can win. people may not see it yet but he has the kind of style to dominate for years to come, I just hope that he can keep his head leveled and recognize the task at hand, I just hope he keeps doing what he's doing and not only that keeps getting better. improving sparring, improving conditioning, continued success etc..
