Apparently Ben Thompson of FIGHTHYPE has the scoop of all the VisionQwest issue with Pacquiao - in a recent article posted by Mr. Thompson, Pacquiao is going to fire VisionQwest. A conspiracy theory was mentioned, in w/c Arum was implemented as the culprit of the interference of VisionQwest investigation and Koncz as the lackie of Arum in dealing the death blow to the relationship b/w Manny & VisionQwest. I have seen reports which said that VisionQuest was suggested to MannyP. by Arum. There is a report on today's site which says that Koncz recommended VisionQuest to Pacquiao, to look into and co-relate his financial matters. My complaint is that I'm damned sick of every little break-wind is regarded by the conspiracy lunatics as being hard evidence of something of whiich there is no sign. I think neither you, nor even me, although I have experience of large corporation structure, really can visualise how huge the different departments of a multi faceted corporation that both Top Rank Productions and manny pacquiao Productions must be. They are not just in the boxing business, they are probably in 20 different businesses, something like a "Mutual Fund", parially for profit, partially for consolidation and partly for hedging.
It may be that Arum suggested that it was time that Pacquiao Promotions needed an independent outside audit to see that every part of the conglomerate was running properly. I assume that as well as intenal Financial Comptrollers they use, like every large corporation, and external, independent company to verify that the books presented for IRS tax inspection are in fact correct. Perhaps there has been an IRS assessment which needs an internal review to see where the difference in tax due may be, and why.
The fact is that we DON'T KNOW that there is ANYTHING wrong at all in the Pacquiao business. It need not even be connected to boxing but perhaps to some property he owns. We just don't know, and until we DO know, I want to be able to switch on my computer and read some news which is rooted in evidence, or reasonable assumptions.. Not this immediate jumping down Arum's throat. It;s always Arum. Arum has nothing to do with the running of MannyP's business affairs, their connection is purely a business one, made amicable by the long mutually profitable association they have had.
What I hate, (and I haven't hated anything or anyone since what we found after WW2,) is how quickly rumour and distorions and outright lies are immediately dumped on Arum's head. And all because he is a ***. Well, I am also ***ish and resent the barely latent *** hatred which always seeps out, and which I have suffered from, and fought against, all my long life and which took the lives of so many of my blood kin as well as co religionists. All for NOTHING, just a visceral, inexplicable, inbred, hatred, which civilized man should long ago go out of his system, if indeed it ever sould have been there in the first place. They didn't fight back. I DO.

I've just reead the headline article, and see that Michael Concz, MannyP.'s advisor, was the one who recommended that MannyP. hire VisionQuest to review his business contracts......of which he must have hundreds. So, to acquaint his employer with the details of the upcoming tours and other matters re his coming fight, and doubtless to talk about other things, he has gone to the Philippines where MannyP is doing some TV filming. he doubtless has other matters to discuss concerning their huge business interests also.
i also read that he is very annoyed that it has been said that Bob Arum has sent Koncz to pacquiao to dissuade him from hiring VisionQuest, with the intimation that this is to prevent the disclosure of Arum's wrongdoing in Pacquiao's business.
Concz indignantly denies this saying that Arum has nothing to do with MannyP.'s business affairs, and had not done such a thing. Quite normal.
Reading further, I see that Ben Thompson, a reporter has suggested that Visionquest is looking into irregularities, and that there are unnamed persons who have been trying to prevent VisionQuest from uncovering crimes by close associates against Pacquiao Promotions.
All this is coming from the fertile mind of a reporter, who quotes no corroboration. Yet, immediately we have a storm, a flood of denounciations against Bob Arum out of nowhere, not so much Arum the Promoter, but Arum the ***. Well....I resent that, I am a ***, and the pejorative selection of revealing Arum's religion shows visceral Antisemitism of the most primitaive kind, which implicates all ***s with wrongdoing...a collective accusation which we have struggled ceaselessly against for many centuries..... unsuccessfully.
Well...I still fight against it and I always will. If Arum's guilty of any crookedness, I will be as condemning as any reasonable person. But this immediate, unreasoning hate.......NO.Comment
