There is enough intrigue to warrant 1.1 mil buy easy. The May/Ortiz fight is around the corner and I don't even care for it. Definitely won't buy the PPV, I'll download it for free the next day. With Goldenboy saying this will be the biggest promotional fight, they sure haven't done ****. The fight will be lucky to do 1-1.2m buysComment

First off anyone who doesn't think this fight is gonna be huge is an idiot. It is taking place over Mexican Independence day weekend with three of the biggest current draws for Mexican fans (Morales, Alverez, and Ortiz) and it's a Mayweather fight so you know it's going to generate buzz. The May/Ortiz fight is around the corner and I don't even care for it. As far as it being a bad fight I can only laugh. Who else was Floyd going to fight at Welter Weight? Ortiz is clearly the third best guy in the division and he is a legitimate puncher with true welter weight size (I imagine it similar to the Hatton fight, but with Ortiz being bigger and having an easier chance at bullying Floyd early on). Is Mayweather the favorite? Of course, but he should be favored in every fight he's in. Ortiz has legitimate power and I give him a much better chance at pulling off the upset than the typical punchers chance that everyone else is giving him.
And for those talking about odds, that's not a good argument at all. Betting lines don't show who the better fighter is or who is more likely to win the fight, but rather they are made to generate even bets for both sides. The odds are in Floyd's favor so much right now because that is what it is taking to get people to put money on the fight. If you really think Ortiz is a 7/1 underdog or even worse you are a fool who knows little about boxing.Comment
