At the very least, Ortiz will test Mayweather's legs.

I was watching some of my more recent collection of Mayweather fights last week, and i couldn't help but notice Mayweather has in fact used his legs less then he once had. I'm not saying they're shot, but I don't see Mayweather standing his ground and backing Ortiz up. I imagine he will have to use his legs almost as much as he had to against Hatton.

    Thoughts?

Hatton's quickness & awkward style had him catching Mayweather more often then most, and Mayweather had to use his legs in that fight.

Ortiz, although a more conventional style fighter, has the quickness to get in on Mayweather and land some solid shots. Mayweather will have to set traps more then hold his ground against Ortiz. Again just my opinion, but most importantly it will prove or disprove the theory that Mayweather's legs are shot.

Ortiz doesnt have the foot speed or foot work Hatton had

True, but I'd say he has quicker hands, and throws short, crisp accurate combos on the inside. Also Ortiz won't just be hopping in wildly in hopes of catching May big. He a bit more disciplined then Hatton.

Still i feel you, but my point remains the same; Mayweather will use his legs more in this fight then in his last 2 fights. I don't think he will be able to keep Ortiz in check as well as he did JMM and SSM.

i agree...ortiz will show us how freash floyd legs are. from what his sparring partners have been saying and from what was heard in the camp, his legs are still good. should be interesting tho.

                Ortiz is a boxer/puncher.

He only really pressures when he hurts you or you lay on the ropes for him.

If Ortiz can't hurt Mayweather, he will box and he will lose IMO.

If Ortiz thinks that trying to outbox Mayweather will work at any point, then he deserves to lose. Ortiz lacks a solid jab, so his best bet is to try to get on the inside and unload some quick, accurate combos.

Floyd's legs are fine. He doesn't have to move around. He can literally stand a foot away from his opponent and make them look amateurish. I have no clue where this theory of his legs being shot came from. He moved great against Hatton, and with Mosley and Marquez, he didn't need to move around the ring. That's the great thing about Mayweather, he has excellent stamina, but at the same time he never wastes energy. He didn't have to dance around the ring with his last two opponents so he didn't.
