Cortez didn't win **** for Maidana. Amir was winning that fight easily, up until the point where he got caught. He survived it and even threw back in the 12th, gimme a break. You could argue the reverse as Maidana was hurt by that body shot and got saved by the bell.

You bet, great idea man, but its not just Khan.

Just in the last couple of years alone, how many fighters have made fools of themselves or tarnished their own image by making ****** statements on twitter?

The various promoters/managers need to see twitter for what it actually represents to a professional fighter, a marketing tool, and they need to take a firm control over how it is utilised.

I remember saying over a year ago that imho official twitter accounts should be represented, the fighters themselves should not have access.

Yeah it looks like he only had the 1 decent round. It was a good fight man, it wasn't a walk in the park for Khan or Maidana and I would be well up for part 2. I hope they keep the **** talking up because with drama the public get involved and it only helps boxing (unless you are David Haye! lol)
Is that the official scorecard chav?

I mean, I agree that the scorecard often does not indicate how a fight actually played out, and both guys were right in that fight late, but I would have thought that Khan would have been given a wider margin than that?

Aaaah ok, yep the fight was definitely not as one-sided as some made out.

I cant remember if I scored that fight, but 114-111 sounds about right.

Then again, I dont score in favor of "volume", "aggression", or "pressure", so I might have had it a little wider.

Allowing for their styles, Khan should have been looking to build up a lead on the cards, and Maidana should have been looking to work out how to get to Khan to break him down over the course of the fight so that he could get him out of there late.

I am up for a rematch, but depending on how both guys adapt to 147, I got Khan taking a wider UD this time out. The better fighter will make the better adjustments, unless Maidana lands betsy, in which case anything goes. But I do not subscribe to the "Khan has a glass jaw" theory, so Maidana is in for a long night imho.
