Boxing manager Lorenzo López has told reporters that flyweight Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda will continue training until they are officially notified that Giovani Segura has no interest in fighting them. Lopez has read several reports where Segura made statements that he plans to move forward with a scheduled fight on September 15th in Mexico, but Pingo Miranda was not going to be the opponent as previously planned.
