I don't think asking for a catch-weight is a sign of fear. Probably, Cotto is more comfortable fighting Margarito at 150 lbs and he can demand it 'cause Margarito calls him out and not the other way around.

I would rather say ducking (and not catch-weight) is a real sign of fear!

Cotto isn't in a corner, he doesn't need Marg's. Sure, Marg's is his biggest payday, well wait no he isn't. Chavez, Canelo, Martinez... Cotto may very well make more money from these fights than with Marg. Cotto could have easily said no and never fought him again, try again.
