1punch KO power

I don't think ANY fighter is a ONE punch KO artist...when was the last time Corrales, Pac, Peter, Wlad, Tua koed a fighter with ONE punch?
The most recent and most impressive based on competition was Castillo over Corrales...but Corrales is not known for the best chin and Castillo other than that was NEVER been a on punch KO artist...
Pacman is a hard puncher but a volume one...Corrales has the power to turn a fight around with one punch, but doesn't completely and flat out KO top opponents with ONE punch...
Kostya has a grerat fight hand and is a better candidate...but Judah is the only one of note...Sharmba went down a few times to strong combinations...but not flat out KOed...but it was an impressive display of power nontheless
I think people should stop labeling it as "ONE PUNCH KNOCKOUT POWER"...in the end it is about the power to turn a fight around...Foreman bombed Frazier and Lyle...didn't KO them with one punch...just turned the fight completely in his favor with one punch and finished them with multiple bombs...
Rahman landed a good one on Lewis yes, but other than that he hasn't done much...
in terms of actual danger of losing a fight to one punch...Tua might be up there...but again, not even HE flat out KOs fighters with ONE single punch...
rethink the meaning of devistating KO power...it is not about a single punch blowout...if that were the case, then you might as well call MAB a knockout artist the way he flattened Fana...but look at the competition...
it is more about the power to turn the fight in one's favor the way I see itLast edited by TyrantT316; 10-14-2005, 01:20 PM.

Again.. I said, "I think" next to that one. :-)

I have a belief that the actuall power of the shot is directly related to how well a fighter covers up his shots or how well he hides then.
The ones that drop you cold are the ones that you dont see. The one that your mind does not know is coming, meaning that it is not prepared to absorb the impact and to steady the body.
So in essence speed is power!

Marciano was also an incredibly powerful puncher. He should definitely be a consideration.
Kostya has some real pound for pound power.
G-Man, like I said earlier.
Tommy Hearns.
Julian Jackson.
Those would be my hardest hitters, pound for pound.

Foreman and Tyson definitely had the One Punch KO power, Peter of course deserves the honorable mention... However, sometimes the One Punch KO power does not go very well together with an Iron Chin!
That's one bad combination :-)
Also, fighters might HAVE the 1punch KO POWER, but do not know how to apply that power properly, or just don't get a chance to connect.

The "Sam Peter" suggestion was in the opening post. So I put a sarcastic "Is he ****!" face after it and Martin followed it up. You see?
