Im not very big on Khan but I'm definitely cool with him stirring the pot. Honestly I think He is a little fearful of Maidana. That being said, he is also a much better fighter than Maidana. Taking on Maidana at this point isnt inhancing his career. Its just a macho thing considering he already beat him. Khan has put himself in position for a possible tangle with Floyd so it would be like buying an '86 corrolla when you have Maybach money.

Boxing Scene shouldn't have even reported on this as if there was a possibility it was the case. Amir is just giving Maidana sh it as part of their on going war of words, I doubt he even believes that. But a boxing journanalist should stay above the fray and know that Robert Guerrero was not going to take a payoff within 2 weeks of his biggest fight ever just to appease Maidana and help him get a rematch with Khan. That's just dumb.

Pointless rematch in terms of accolades. He's had the WBA title and is now the super champ, why fight again? Because it won FOTY? Not a big enough reason.

Khan will only add to his legacy by facing and defeating Matthyse, who hits as hard as Maidana and is a much better boxer. Also have the WBC belt makes it the best option, clearly.

As for his comments on a pay off. Khan is a ****ing idiot.
