I used to root for Pavlik. When he lost to Hopkins but then won against Rubio I thought well he'll get over it. Then he pulled out of a fight with Sergio Mora in June-July of 2009. I thought well he injured his hand. Then he pulled out of a fight with Paul Williams in October of 2009. It was rescheduled for December 2009. He pulled out of that fight with his pesky staph infection excuse then. But, in the same month fought Michael Espino. I then lost all respect for Pavlik. Now he pulls this crap first staph infections and now purse-money. Real-talk I don't even think his hearts in boxing right now. It hasn't been for a while. As well, he is a proven liar about alcohol. Before the Martinez fight he said he hadn't been drinking. When the truth came out some months later it was exactly the opposite of what Pavlik said. Drunks like me recognize other drunks and Pavlik uses the words that a bitter drunk use. Translated it means: Pay me or I'm going to sit on my ass! I come from a family of alcoholics as well ands my uncle doesn't do anything besides and expect to be compensated for it. Used to have a job but wants to have money anyway. So I say screw him let him rot just like Pavlik.

I've stopped caring for Pavlik since he pulled out the Paul Williams fight a couple years back. This guy is just too inconsistent.
