Comments Thread For: Mayweather: Forget Money, Pacquiao Must Be Tested

only the illiterate mayweathers and his legions of illiterate fans believe that a drug-testing is necessary...chicken floyd's mind games...all fights are tested, the fighters are tested, so why demand another testing when it is not necessary? for the record, pacquiao was clean all his, the commission can attest to that...for the idiots and imbeciles out there who believe that pacquiao is on drugs, stick to facts...and the fact is that pacquiao was, and has never been tested positive with any drugs...
another fact is that chicken floyd has been found positive of xylocane...so those who share chicken floyd's demands are nothing but idiots and imbeciles who cannot even understand a simple fact from fiction...

Everything else you stated is void just for the fact I destroyed your opening statement about testing and why.
Its not hard simple minded "fan". You just have to think of why steroids exist and why fighters are getting away with out being busted OR are being busted AFTER the fact. Which is unacceptable.

"talk to my promoter". If this is any two en****** other than floyd and manny guys like you would always side with the guy who speaks his mind rather than have someone speak for him.

So based off of that I don't give a **** about that never testing positive stance that people are taking when it has been proven that the basic commission testing can be beat. I am not saying that the testing PBF is asking can't be beaten either. But I would rather have the best testing possible done instead the worst testing possible.

It's 2009 all over again!!!
The message is the same though. We will never know if the intent of Mayweather's message is to really set an example and "clean" the sport up - making it a level playing field; or, if he is simply playing that card because of some doubt of his own ability to handle a fighter like Pac.
ETHICS
Regardless of Mayweather's intent. The fundamental ethical (and moral) principal in any situation in life (competitive/combative sport) is fairness and respect (Kantian in nature). It is even more critical in this particular sport when the lives directly depend on it. Pac and May can only benefit from this situation aif they tackle the problem together by setting a standard.
Now, It may not be prevalent issue in the Philippines, rightfully so, he is tackling greater issues of poverty and hunger.
But from a global standpoint with Manny's marketing muscle - he should use his political power responsibly to work with other international agencies (U.S and global) to help the sport, create better programs for the youth...etc. Not just get on a stage and sing songs!!! Really? It's truly time for Pacquiao to challenge the allegation and set the wheels in motion to be a responsible athlete. If you are fighting in the U.S, you got to do more than just the minimum (state regulated testing) you got to prove the nay-Sayers wrong.
