He walks around at an in shape 150's[probably 153-154]. So he can only drop a few pounds to 147. Remember he came in at 146 against Marquez, I believe that was his limit. 2lbs over the weight limit for that fight.

It's not that he couldn't, he just didn't want to. He said from the beginning it was a welterweight fight. It's bull****, but it is what it is

any fight in 140s is a welterweight fight according to floyd i belive his ego is so big hed rather give the penalty than run around in the parking lot to shed 2 pounds

Mayweather might walk around at 155-160, and he might come in on fight night at 155-160. That doesn't make him a big ww.

To your point about dropping water weight, Mayweather whole career up until he started not wanting to be weighed on fight night he would never rehydrate more the 5 lbs give or take. He might rehydrate more then he used to now, but i'm sure that on fight night he's closer to a jmw then a mw.

Also he's fighting someone who went up to 161 in his debut at ww, and will probably be a bit bigger when he fights Mayweather.

Yes, Mayweather is bigger then Pacquiao, but not by much.

Mayweather has consistently been close to his fighting weight his whole career, and so being close to what he would weigh for a fight a month out should not be surprising it fits the whole pattern.

I would need to see evidence and not speculation to think he doesn't weigh close to where he is fighting at.
