You are fighting Pacquiao, what would your gameplan be?

Quite often we discuss ways or strategies to beat Mayweather but what about Pacquiao... how would you beat the non stop punch throwing, stone chin, tireless Pacquiao?

In my opinion you would have to be a fighter with a complete toolset to even have a chance. Not to mention pack a stone chin as well because you will get hit and then it's all about fighting fire with fire. You want to beat Pacquiao, you have to go to war, that's why I think Marquez will always pose problems.

Pacquiao cannot be beat by a defensive minded fighter, his workrate alone will beat you by decision.

Pacquiao is most vulnerable whenever he's throwing shots, watch his fights and you'll notice that those who counter punch Pacquiao end up hurting him and changing his rhythm for the entire fight. If you let Pacquiao get going, it's like a train that doesn't stop. You have to put stops to it by making him think twice about throwing and that where a good heavy handed counter puncher comes in handy.

I think Marquez would be the perfect kryptonite but only if he was a few years younger and packed a better chin. After all, that ended up being the difference in both fights. YOU HAVE TO be able to take his power.

    What do you think?

Why would we want to know the game plan of a bunch of message board knownothings?

You have to circle around the ring, have really good reflexes and counter punching, and when Pacquiao lunges in stand your ground with counter punches. That's how Morales beat him, that's how Marquez did so well twice, and that's how Mayweather would have to beat him.

Punch when he punches and when in close work the body you'll frustrate him that way and attack in spurts if you not counter punching cause truth be told he can't fight going backwards he got lucky knocking down cotto and he was actually going to the SidE when it happened

            Like Shane Mosley.

Don't come in face first and Pacquiao is harmless.

Box him behind the jab and set him up for counters. Timing beats speed and conventional boxing beat akward boxers. Go for the body early and keep your offense changing throw the rounds. Sounds familiar? Pacquiao has the perfect style for Mayweather, Martinez and even a 154 Cotto.
