Fast fwd 11yr thoughts on Toney & Jones

A long time ago this was considered a hot fight that Jones ran away with but now RJ is content on going the distance in losing eforts and Toney is at least a top 5 heavyweight on the verge on another championship.

Age is kinder to Toneys style of fighting than that of Jones.

Nothing to do with age IMO, well sorta..

Roy is a lil *****! He just ran around like a chicken against Tarver to pussied to get caught...

Against Johnson he was just taunting like a little *****!

      **** ROY JONES!

      Thanks for a terrible career!

          hmm

Roy will always be better than Toney all-time p4p and that's a fact jack. Toney looks like a sloth at heavyweight and even now Roy could get a win over him. It's easier for Toney to beat Booker's and Guinn's and 43 year old Holyfields than it is to beat Roy. Roy will always be a style problem for James Toney.

This fight would be big money at heavyweight.

            James Toney would take it.

            roy Jones wouldnot.

            what does that tell you?

They're both running on fumes, or in Toney's case, blubber. Roy can still easily dominate the Bookers and Guinns of the LH world. Toney couldn't even beat Ruiz. Toney will be playing Roy's chin music soon enough as soon as he is matched with a live powerful heavy.

If Roy had any brains, he'd call out Toney. It'd be a bit of a risk, but no more than he took against Ruiz.

Quality post. Toney only beat Ruiz and Guinn and he beat 8 rounds to 4 and that's being generous to Toney. Also, Ruiz changed his style in that fight. You didn't see a clinch fest. Fight would of been even more closer if Ruiz fought his normal style.

Once Toney steps up the competition it's going to be lights out for the man once hailed as P4P the best.
