The fight will happen on September 24th in Mexico, with the winner becoming the mandatory challenger to WBC champion Tomas Rojas, who defends his title on Friday in Thailand. Ibarra is the silver champion and won his last thirteen bout, includes wins over Filipinos Sonny Boy Jara and Juanito Rubillar. Lopez will look to break his streak over Filipino opponents.
