People, Narvaez defended 6 times out of Argentina. If the promotors put the money Omar will go. it is the reality.

mmm October 22?? Narvaez was injuried in july. ( broke his left hand) The medics said that he have 3 months for go back to the ring. I think this fight in October is very difficult to done.

Narvaez is a very good fighter. In this weigh I go with Donaire but in flyweight a Narvaez of 30 years outbox Donaire

Agree 100% Narvaez is a Natural flyweight, In Bantamweight Narvaez is too small.

Yes Narvaes is a smaller and more moderate version of Nicolino Locche but he's a superflyweight and a small one at that. He can move up and face the champs at 122 and still win. Why do they bother fighting such smaller guys? It ridiculous.

Narvaez is an excellent, underrated boxer and I would have picked him to beat anybody at flyweight in the past decade. But Donaire is too fresh and too big for him now and he has obviously carried his punching power to 118. Narvaez is also 36 and, IMO, has looked like he's slowing down a little since he moved up to 115 last year. Can't see him beating Donaire at 118.

El Huracan is shorter by 4" and has a shorter reach. He hasn't fought if Argentina ...ever.He has KO% 51.25, he doesn't stay balanced whenever he try's to **** inside, he susceptible to upper cuts and left hooks. He does looping, jumping, hooks that Donaire can exploit the whole night. If this is the best TR can do for Donaire after all the BS that was done just to get him back - TR sucks!!! I mean this guy doesn't fight out of Argentina for carrying out loud!!! And most of his wins were by UD...home country maybe? Donaire by vicious KO ala Montiel or TKO by stoppage (either ref or corner) in 3rd rnd. El Huracan has nothing on his resume that tells me he has a chance against the Ring Magazines #3P4P fighter in the world.

Some posters on this site are like politicians: they think if they state something enough, it becomes fact. It really only takes two minutes of internet searching to discover that Narvaez has defended six times in Europe. So it's not true that he only fights in Argentina.

I have seen a large number of his title fights and almost none of them have been close. His UDs have been legit and he's not winning hometown decisions, like Alexander, Shumenov, Sturm, Huck, etc.

That being said, he is too small and old for Donaire and I can't see any way he will beat him at this stage of his career. So if this happens, it will be about Donaire adding a nice name to his record, but certainly not as legitimate as beating up Mares or a top fighter at 122

First Chango Vargas then Hernan Marquez now Omar Narvaez. Yeah yeah Nonito had a Conte KO over Montiel and he won the belts, but even when he was at the smaller divisions top rank always put him up in bull**** matchups. He should defend his unified titles against someone whos actually ranked at bantamweight. Nonito always brings it so I dont see what the big deal is im sure hed be down to fight. Omar is shorter than Montiel and doesnt have that same power that could change the fight. It will look just like the Sidorenko fight no matter how good a boxer you are Nonitos size and counter punching will get anyone south of 122. I really dont approve of this match up at all Omar should focus on a unification at 115 and Donaire should fight someone who is ranked or a former champ at the least. Hit up Yohnny Perez, he never been KOed. He hasnt looked the greatest but he is still ranked a former champ and would be a good name on Donaires resume as well as a look at Yohnnys future depending on how he fights.
