Over 2 years later, same weight As floyd...

The epicness of how big of a shit fight this is.... So greatly understated.. Im not even a Floyd fan. In fact I hope Ortiz Ko's him...

How can this be accepted by Pacs fans?? fighting Marquez at 144 2 years after Floyd dominated Marquez at that weight? I just don't get it.. first it was the relatively unknown Clottey coming off a loss, then Marg.... MARGARITO!!! Then Mosley coming off of 2 losses, one of which was to floyd.

This shit has to stop, and pacs fans are the only ones who can do it. Be real fans. Not nut hugging ******s.

The Judah avy is a joke, and Khan and Maidana are two of my favorite fighters at the moment.

        1. Pac has fought at 147 on 5 out of his last 6 fights

        2. Pac has a belt at 147 w/c he needs to defend

        3. Marquez is seeking Pac and not the other way around.

        4. JMM wont be cheated. if the contract was 144. Pac will come at 144 or less and not 146 or 147

        5. They are very similar in size who both come at 144 to 146lbs fight night.

i'm assuming you're talking about the Floyd jr/Ortiz fight. Its a fine tune up for floyd IMHO, but not a crap fight by a long shot.

many pac fans including myself already don't accept this fight. i stated numerous times myself that i would have preferred the fight to be at 140 at least.

clottey came off a split-decision win over cotto right before he fought manny and was still considered among the top ten welterweights at that time.

Pac fought margarito who just came off a win and fought him at a weight he never fought at before which was at 150. (would have been better if they fought at 154 though)

I seem to be the only one okay with the agreed weight for this fight.

First off, Pacquiao is the star of the moments and he gets to call the shots. You don't want to agree to his stipulations, then good - miss out on a good payday, fame and a shot at making history. There is no way Marquez gets to call the shots in this situation.

Second, Marquez can comfortably make at least 140. He could even go up to 141 and put on some water weight for the weigh in, the weight here is really not an issue.

The issue here will be how strong Pacquiao has become and what remains to be seen is how Marquez will react and handle it. It all comes down to whether or not Marquez can take on the power of this new Pacquiao and keep throwing.

Very nice, pretty much sums it up and enough with ppl acting like Clottey wasn't a good win. He would likely beat Ortiz.
