I don't ****ing know. Tito had problems trying to find foes. Duran isn't hard to find & won't be running anywhere. But Tito starts slow & Duran maintains his intensity. If Duran can pitch camp in Tito's chest problems, too close to call for me. I'm gonna think long & hard on it then return with an answer.

At 147, Duran was too slick, quick and skilled for Tito who got caught cleanly too often. He didn't have to fight Tito inside only at all. IOt didn't matter in fact. He could draw Tito into counters by slipping his shots, then stay inside and **** the body. People still forget that despite the Leonard rematch, Duran didn't lose a fight at 147 and beat two prime HOFers, one of them an ATG at his peak in his best division.
I think Duran might knock Tito down, maybe once or twice, but wins a clear UD at the end of the day.
154 is where it gets interesting. That's a fight I think Tito could win. He had the stamina to outlast Duran when Duran was at 154. He'd get caught and beat early, again maybe get knocked down off a counter, but Duran's stamina disappeared the moment he left 147. Tito would come back middle rounds and it would be a close fight that Tito takes on activity alone. He was punching while Duran was resting.

Its not even a real competition.
DLH was not known as slick, but he was able to box circles around Trinidad. Duran would have punished Tito worse than Hopkins did.
I don't even see that as competition. I see that as a mismatch.
Tito never really beat prime top opponents in his career. So against a prime Duran I predict the worse for Felix.

some dude posted in another thread about Duran against Pac and he said that dudes must THINK Duran is a face first brawler....so that made me go back and check out and update my Duran archive...and he was right...Duran had a method to his madness.....crafty and a very very very sharp skillset...slick...sneaky slick....a monster!!....Tito is a dude I carry the upmost respect for...that mofo was beast and probably the first fighter I ever became a "closet" fan of....heart and balls....I think it was Jim Lampey who best described Tito imo....it was something like can you take it can you keep it up or something like that...spot on call by Lamp
now as for the scrap itself.....I got Duran on points and Tito being dropped early about once or twice but having his moments in the middle part....but I see Duran taking control in the money rounds again....I say 8-4 or 7-5 on the cards for Duran....B.Hop considers Duran the BEST latin fighter EVER...he's said that many times!!

he can't take a Tito left hook. Sorry old time nuthuggers.
yeah, i mean, since when does tito not punch back at welter?why would anyone think what oscar did is indicative as to what duran would do? tito's one of the hardest hitting welters all time, and he won't be able to do to tito what he did to leonard.
tito by ko.
