Yeah.. but you shud know that Nonito always fight in the conventional style but in this fight he fought for the first couple of rounds as a southpaw but he didn't do so well so revert back to his normal conventional style.

Just pointing out that the commentators said Nonito is actually a lefthander.

Marvin Hagler used to lie his a'ss of about being a lefty when he absolutely wasn't. I mean the guys left cross was so fing weak it was a joke. The guy had much more power in his jab then cross and his right hook was his main power punch. He wrote with his right hand, ate with his right hand(in a commercial) Yet he always said he was a lefty. Sorry to say there are some traitors out there that want to be left handed. Also Donaire probably didn't say that but if he did, it would probably be mind games to make his opponent not fair his right hand. Which btw is pretty good

The guy grew up in America. They don't convert lefties but they do in a lot of Asian countries. ( BTW where is that gif from :P :P)

Unlike Manny who fought in the southpaw style, Nonito doesnt do so well in that stance.

He's one of those traitors. A right handed man that wants to be a lefty. Have met many people like that, that pretends to be lefty in any way. I have heard bullish like "I'm righthanded but left footed" BUUUUISSSHHH. Thats next to impossible due to how the nerves system is wired. You can be ambidextrous but that doesn't work. What ever I have heard so many lefty wannabees in my mma gym. Almost everybody goes southpaw and fight one handed, right hook right hook right hook. I ra'pe their soul standing when they try that ****** ish. Victor Ortiz said the same thing in a interview. "I'm a lefty" but he said in another that he was right handed. Traitor ! XD

This is actually a really interesting thread.

Doesn't Bobby Pacquiao also fight southpaw? I've always thought Bobby and Manny were both converted, which would indeed make a lot more sense than both of them being natural lefties (but I don't know).

Also, lefties are typically forcefully converted in Asia, as I understand it (although I don't know 100% where it comes to the Philippines). In the case of China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, etc. (countries which use Chinese characters) it actually makes a lot of practical sense, because the techniques for writing the characters are contrived from a write-handed perspective. I have a friend who is Japanese (I'm not Japanese, but live in Japan) who is left handed, but writes with either hand. However, to write the characters correctly, it is essentially necessary to write with you right hand (although he does it with either).
