Pacquiao’s record breaking rise to several weight class, numerous victories and his annihilation of opponents much bigger than him astounded billions of boxing affectionados all over the world. How in the hell was he able maintain his speed while increasing power and how can one reach such unbelievable physical state that he is in now? Keep in mind that Manny didn’t become a champion overnight, he suffered defeats early on his career and those set backs were attributed to his being under nourished & poor training.
There are several key components that are involved in the making of a great athlete, genetics and proper nutrition are the ones on top of the list. “Genetics is the science of genes, heredity, and variation in living organisms. In the 19th century a scientist named Gregor Mendel was able to observe that organisms inherit traits via discrete units of inheritance called genes. These genes will then correspond to regions within DNA molecule composed of a chain of four different types of nucleotides. The sequence of nucleotides in a gene is translated by cells to produce a chain of amino acids, creating proteins - the order if amino acids in a protein corresponds to the order of nucleotides in the gene. This relationship is known as the genetic code.” Therefore one can assume that Pacquiao’s genetic make up can be attributed to the superb combinations of selective genes inherited from his parents, it is a fact that has been used since the prehistoric times. The second key integral to Manny’s success is proper nutrition! In his early years as a professional boxer MP had trouble making the weight, he was eating the wrong food ( didn’t even know the correct balance of protein, carbohydrates and
fats), and was depleted of the essential aminos and vitamins that fuels the body. MP then was only running on a half of tank of gas and it was not even premium.
MP’s will to win, his ability to overcome adversities, his burning desire to be a champion, and of course his natural athletism is what got him to the top of the sport way before I ever came around. Pacquiao has a bigger heart as a fighter and a person than anyone I have ever met. When I started adding in the proper kinds of foods his body responded very well. We started increasing calories, adding supplements and when we did so his energy level soared.
He had high energy level to start with but it became greater!
Pacquiao has always been ripped. Look at his photos since he was sixteen years old compare it when he was 22 and now in his early 30’s the tale of the lens says it all, Ripped!!!
What do you think will happen when you start putting in more calories? You will gain weight. That is just a mathmatical fact. What happens when you start putting in the proper foods? Well the answer is simple, your body will respond by being more productive. The truth is Manny Pacquiao is not as fast as he was when he was fighting at 12o lbs. He is not quite as fast as he was when he fought at 130lbs, but his footwork is better. He has less injuries and ailments and he never stopped learning. That is the most important factor to his success. For Pacquiao there is always room for improvement.
He surrounds himself with the best team members that can help him become the champion that he is!!!
This blog is for all the fans that keep asking me how did Manny do it.

exactly. ive been saying this for years. you can't be a professional boxer, a successful one anyway, by subsisting off a few bowls of rice. He wasn't even eating properly for a normal, inactive person.

he also had basically no amateur background. his trainer was probably just another street kid trying to make a few bucks just holding pads for him.

had he been groomed from a child to be a boxer, and had access to all the proper nutrition, coaching, and training, no telling where he would be. but at the same time, i think that hard upbringing, and all the dynamics he was subject to, helped make him what he now is.

Pacquiao was on the Philippines National Amateur Team and had an amateur record of 60-4......Yes he is in a country who only medals in boxing at the Olympics and on their most important national team...this "few bowls of rice" crap is completely made up

Yeah thats good explanations but only for MP fans, but for the MP haters they have there own explanation, they are blinded by the fact that there's one in there in boxing that doing great in every bit of his career win or loss. progressing in every step of his career yet jealous people try to damage his reputation.
