Comments Thread For: Vazquez Jr. Waiting on a Decision For The Arce Rematch

Super bantamweight contender Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr., and his promoter Felix "Tutico" Zabala of All Star Boxing, are waiting for a decision to be made on whether or not a rematch with Jorge "El Travieso" Arce will take on the Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito undercard on December 3 at New York's Madison Square Garden. In May, Arce stopped Vazquez Jr. in the twelfth round to win the WBO's super bantamweight title.

Please put this fight on the undercard for Cotto Margarito. Vasquez should even take less money if its not that much of a difference from the Miami card for the exposure and chance to regain his title.

Should Arce not want to come out and play for the rematch; give a new comer a shot? I'm hearing that Donaire needs a playmate for Sept or Dec? Should Mares not want to come out and play to unify the 118lbs class. Donaire already said that he would come up in weight to play with the bigger boys. So come-on Arce or Vazquez, Nonito wants to play?!?!?

WV2 should learn his craft a little more before he steps up against world class comp again. He was pretty much handed a title for beating a fighter 3 weight divisions smaller than him and never fought anyone until Arce. He just isn't a top level fighter yet and needs time to develop.

If the Arce fight doesn't go WV2 will end up on some Alll Star boxing show on Telemundo vs a nobody as no one fights in FLorida and makes $$$.

Vazquez has to earn a rematch with Arce by fighting and beating a couple of real guys -- no reason that Arce should have to beat him twice before moving on to bigger and better things.
