Before anyone acuses me of being anti-mexican or anything of that matter, i've had many posts praising mexican boxers, so much so that, even though my sig reads cuban boxers, I am colombian. I also have a mexican trifecta which includes number one Ricardo Lopez, and a number two Salvador Sanchez, and at 3 Juan Manuel Marquez.
Now back to my point. C'mon guys (all the defensive mexicans here), sure the ref is one to blame, but if you have ever fought or at the very least sparred, you know that more than 3 low blows on behalf of yourself are not accidental, when boxing you know where your hand goes, anybody who has ever fought here can concur. Now, with soo many low blows from Mares, do you guys condone that? Even if the ref hasn't stepped in to say anything, wouldyou guys accept that win as an honorable win? What if the fight had taken place in Madison Square Garden, and Agbeko got away with at least 30 low blows on you from round 1 through 12? Was awarded a KD when it was a clear lowblow. Slow motion reveals all. And even though the first KD was also suspect because agbeko was clearly on his way down already I would still award mares with the KD based on technicality (his hook landing at the time). Would you guys not feel infuriated at the outcome? Condeming the ref as well, hometown decision and so on and so forth? I respect any person regardless of race or nationality who honestly admits that yesterday was a robbery, travesty, whatever you may call it, and everyone who is defending mares simply because he's biased by cultural relationship would without a doubt sing a different tune if the takes were reversed. I guess nowadays fair isn't so fair.
