I don't think the hate is for Mares, but for the referee who didn't enforced the rules to make the fight a clean fight, Who also happens to be latino, Who also happens to be the referre who disqualified Peterson on his fight with Rios.
The referee stole Mares glory and the fight needs to happen again, with neutral official hopefully soon.
