A Prime Barrett Is Better Than A Prime Tua.

Why are people so surprised that Barrett was able to beat Tua? Tua is probably the most overrated heavyweight boxer of his generation. Even a prime Tua wasn't all that great. The only reason why there are fans who are still high on this obese dude is because of his punching power, but you need more than a big punch to be something special.

A prime Barrett beats a prime Tua the same way he beat Tua a few hours ago.

    no way
prime Tua still had his power and some balance
old Tua just slow and ponderous
Barrett was always just journeyman material
Tua wasn't great, but was a legit contender when he was prime

Barrett, for all his faults, was always a crafty fighter.

I think Tua was a better fighter in their primes, but I also think that Barrett would've likely ALWAYS given him problems in a fight.

barrett's a pretty damn good fighter.

he has a win over heavyweight champ tim witherspoon who was basically in his prime.

he knocked down and was robbed against undefeated great joe mesi.

lost by early stoppage to wlad klitschko.

first man to defeat dominick guinn and owen "what the heck" beck

put up a good fight against heavyweight great valuev.

1-1 against cliff "i look like tyson" couser

knocked out a giant named tye fields in less than a minute.

knocked down the great heavyweight david haye

first fighter to knock down david tua

hall of fame? he gets my vote.

Obviously you're being sarcastic. But getting knocked out by Wlad is not something to be ashamed of.
