The Shane that fought Pac & Floyd was like a different fighter to the Shane who fought Forrest & Wink.
Physically, sure, but there were similarities. In all of those losses, Shane caved in mentally early on.

I'd also say it's no coincidence both Vernon and Winky were much bigger and longer than Shane.

It's no different from when fighters get hurt than smile at their opponents. Wright did a good job of covering up the fact that he was hurt.

Also, there's an interview where Wright admits to being hurt with that right hand.
of course you're not... especially with a handle like that

the right that hits him under the jaw moves his head, the left that comes back after is what makes him squat down looking hurt...

      but whatever.......................................... .....

but floyd and manny are on another level

i dont care if its prime mosley, floyd would outbox him

and manny would KO him within 5 rounds

i'd love to have seen floyd fight winky but we all know why that didnt happen

Either way, Winky had one of the best defenses in boxing, IMO.

yeah but prime mosley went toe to toe

older mosley was much more defensive when hurt

prime mosley woulda gone after pacquiao and got KO because of it

Forrest would have been p4p 1 if not for injuries the guy was a beast and when healthy was unbeatable at 154,problem is the guy was always hurt.

To be fair, Pacquiao appeared to show Shane mercy after the first few rounds. If he fought like he did and rounds two and 10 for the whole fight, it would have been over in around 8 rounds. Not to mention Shane was running for dear life.

Floyd didn't really hold back, but he didn't take as many chances as he should have. I really wish he had went for the kill in the late rounds. He could have gotten it.

Basically, both let Shane off the hook. They both could have easily knocked him out if they wanted to. I give Floyd a pass because he never goes for the kill, but not Pacquiao. He needs to stop being so damn nice in the ring. If he felt so bad for Shane, then why fight his old ass in the first place? lol
