Why do people say Arum will feed Pac to Mayweather when he's done with him?

This thought just crossed my mind.

When in Arum's promotional history have they fed one of their biggest money makers to an opposing promoter's fighter.

I mean regardless of how much money a Pacquaio vs Mayweather Jr fight can make, don't you really think that Arum would have made it right now if he knew that. You mean to tell me that Arum did not know the risk of having his fighter regarded a juicer after balking the 1st round of negotiations.

I honestly believe that Arum doesn't want to make this fight happen, and will be fully content with it not taking place.

His only difficulty right now is finding the appropriate suitor within the Top Rank stable to defeat Pacquaio. The senile old man even was hoping for a Pac vs Cintron fight, I mean c'mon.

I honestly believe will be seeing a Chavez Jr vs winner of Pacquaio / Cotto 2 fight next December.

I also wouldn't be surprised if we saw a Pac vs M. Jones fight down the line...

Pac won't finish his career on a high trust me... going to get used as a stepping stone for other Top Rank fighters, just like Gatti was, and Margarito now

If you think the sharpest mind in boxing is "senile" I have a good proposition for you (as the saying is). You sound like a nutter. Arum is the head of a PRIVATELY OWNED Boxing Promotional Company which is not only the biggest in the business, but the most successful and biggest EVER in Boxing History.

His "senility" is constantly, almost monthly, being put to the test by a variety of sharpies and jealous business opponents, and only RARELY does he not come out, not only the winner, but the ENHANCED winner, meaning, that he finishes with somewhat more than he had before the problem started. His opponents are the ones who come out poorer and (maybe) wiser........But obviously not some posters........

it is the nature of boxing-nown to those with boxing knowledge and experience- that fighters can raise to championship level for a certain period and then, inevitably, decline. Some RETIRE, and others either because they've invested unwisely and need the money, or love the sport too much, or don't know what else they can do, continue to box on. They INEVITABLY begin to lose, but retaining their experience -and skills- (to a greater or lesser degree), become very good TESTS for young fighters who themselves are trying to achieve atardom.

So the one-time-star, becomes a "gatekeeper". There is nothing dishonourable about this, and I don't see why you are trying to make out that there is. To get a fight keeps him in the sport, earns him some money, and who knows, if he can win, might propel him at least once more to a bigger money fight.

So what else do you want to know??

It's a pattern. Arum milks him now against the big names, then takes the Mayweather fight and when he loses he'll put Pac with his up and coming talent so if Pac loses to say Mike Jones, then Bob Arum has a new star.
