BoxingScene.com has been advised that former champion Kermit Cintron (33-4-1, 28KOs) is abandoning his plan to drop down to the welterweight division, and plans to move back to the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds. Damn the guy fought Smith a tough contender in four weeks notice after a upset loss and he got paid 10% of his contractual low???

Cintron is either very ****** or very ballsy!!!!

Anyways, dude is big, if he is struggling to make the weight, WTF is he doing trying to make 147??? I bet Arum promesed him a PAcquiao shot!!

Yes, likely Arum and his Pacquiao brand of carrot. Hopefully, Cintron can perform much better at 154 these days, but I have little faith in that at the moment.

cintron, to me was not impressive and should have dominated smith, not a top 10 fighter...if he goes to 154 he'll have nothing bbut trouble...judges scored were too scatered and the blond female judge was way off, I thought at 96-94, too close...

cintron fights are a cure for insomnia what a bore this chump is. Cintron looks like he needs a bowel movement all the time. Cintron is terrible.

I guess he felt he needed to bounce back real quick. He really got beaten up.

There is nothing for him at 147, that was a pretty bad idea, he wouldn't get any big fights there. At 154, there are Vanes, Canelo, Cotto, rematch with Angulo, all interesting fights.

I don't know, men, he needs a major boost of energy and hunger, the Cintron who fought last night would had gotten destroyed by Cotto and Angulo!!

He should change trainers or something, him trying to fight on the inside is ****** as hell. He should fight a couple more C-level, -B_level fighters till he gets his groove back!!!

I bet Berto's pissed at himself for ducking Cintron now. He'd probably still have his WBC title lol
