He definitely looked alot better against klitschko than chambers did. Expect chambers to look decent the first 4 rounds, and then you will see thompson starting to get his jab off and he will pick chambers apart, and win a UD. scores like 116-112 115-113. Thompson isn't a great fighter but he's quite underrated nonetheless. just my two cents.
Chambers is fast but he isn't flashy, not really. He'll give Thompson a chance only because he likes to stand in front of guys and make them miss, then counter over their jab. Thompson is crafty, but his physical skills have badly eroded in recent years following his defeat by Wlad. He now looks like he's fighting in slow motion. I expect Chambers to win a pretty comfortable decision in a fight that might resemble the Dimitreko bout minus a knockdown.

that fights like this are taken seriously by boxing fans is yet another indication of the pathetic state of the heavyweight division

Two top 10 heavyweights fighting each other, and what amounts to the US Title on the line...aside from the fact that Thompson fights like a robot, I don't see a lot not to be excited about as heavyweights go.

The faster Eddie Chambers will outbox Tony Thompson and win a clear decision, something like 116-112 on the cards.

Isn't this a 'conflict of interest' in that Stewart is Wlad's main trainer and if Chambers beats Thompson he will be the mandatory challenger?...

That's the first thought that struck me when I saw the headline. How can Steward train two fighters who are likely to fight each other next year?
