Let me elaborate on my initial post.

The element of somebody getting KTFO MUST be there in every fight I watch. I don't give a sh it if Mike did not KO Mitch Green... but I knew that ANY minute he just might have and THAT is my point. There is that excitement that you just don't have when 2 weaknuts jab each other and act like Sweet Pea for 12 rounds.

I don't care to sit through 12 rounds when you know the outcome is going to be a UD for somebody. No power... No interest.

I have nothing against counterpunchers, like JMM who actually engage, or fighters like the Malinaggi who fight, but lack power. For instance, the Alexander vs Matthysse fight was made interesting mostly by Luca's efforts and the few rounds I gave to Alexander occurred when he decided to fight. No I'm not advocating only brawls, but effective aggression should always supersede avoiding conflict and jabs.
JMM has enough power to KO you... I like JMM and all his skill. I just can't watch Paulie and fighters like him fight anymore. I used to watch ANY fight before. Maybe I am just getting hooked on pourn

I like ko's as much as the next guy. It's cool to see a good fight no matter who it is, for me anyways.

whats worse is that you see two dudes that could KO each other at any point but fail to do so and have the most boring god damn fight.

I feel like the worst is the ko artist who looks for one punch and ends up getting boxed to death waiting to land his hail mary.

Ok I can see your point for EX. how when Abraham fights its more suspenseful than when lets say Tim Bradley fights even if he is busier and better than AA in every other way aside from power but sometimes you can get a good scrap out of two pillowfisted boxers just like on a Shobox card I saw recently where I didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised by the action.

Also if you can't appreciate the technical aspect of the sport well apples and oranges I suppose.

Also, I actually hit very hard for my weight 165lbs. Bested all of my 200lb plus friends when tested.

Take your Paulie's #1 shirt off and explain to me why you take my post so personal? Do you hit like a *****? Did I hit home with my post?

                I think so.

                **** outta here!!
if u have so much power get ur career started find some way for top level boxers to fight u fight 10 and see how many knockouts u have.like others have posted ill word it diff...on the lower level its easier for fighters to get knocks because of the skill gap.when u reach the higher level its hard to know out everyone cuz it very may well happen to u.

it'd be interesting to see a list of this happening and a list of the guy actually getting the KO...

I agree with both sides. There are skilled fighters who lack power but they are entertaining because they can hurt (not Paulieīs case IMO).
I think that if you canīt hurt your opponent you arenīt skilled enough. The example would be Khan, who clearly isnīt a puncher, but he is superb in the rest of the aspects of this sport (speed, stamina, footwork, defence, combos, strategy, etc). There should be a balance between hunting and survival.Otherwise it turns like the olympic games, an amatheur game, or the opposite, a Roman circus, where is a matter of time the KO.
