I think Hatton is in more danger from Maussa than Mayweather...

I know straight away you're thinking "stop talking rubbish, man" but we all know what Mayweather is capable of, what is style is like, what he can do. Win or lose, Hatton will be prepared and he will be able to train accordingly and work on tactics to counter his style. Most importantly, he'll take Mayweather as a major threat.

But Maussa... if I had to put money on someone to beat Hatton it would be him. The guy's a wild card, a jinx opponent. Deceptively bad (well, not deceptively, he just IS bad, technically) he can take a shot and give a shot. He's the rubberband man and Hatton may overlook him. You can't train for that kind of totally unorthodox fighting technique. If anyone was going to disrupt Ricky's undefeated record, it's him.

Most top tier-fighters would be able to TKO Maussa, even if they didn't train hard. You just have to figure him out and not punch yourself out like Harris did. It's simple really.

If Hatton loses to Maussa then he is not the fighter I thought he was. I would then question his win over Tszyu as being lucky.

For the record I think Hatton stops Maussa within 5 or less. I think Cotto stopped him in 6 but with Hatton's style I think he gets it done a little quicker.

Hatton will win this fight easily. Maussa is not a great fighter. I will be shocked if Hatton loses to Maussa.

If Maussa wins this fight, the guy's in for a huge payday, and he should get it, thats a big if though.

i understand what you're trying to say. you're suggesting if hatton has entered a 1990-mike tyson state of mind, that maussa could be his buster douglas.
i personally don't think hatton is quite that ****y yet-

(mainly because mayweather is still floating around in his mind- tyson in 1990 felt he had proven himself beyond a doubt to be unbeatable)

-nor do i think he'll overlook maussa that much. and i don't think maussa has any kind of unleashed talent deep down that will just erupt out of him from nowhere. a bunch of factors would have to be in play for hatton to lose to maussa, and i don't think it will go down like that. mayweather will end hatton's streak before maussa, or anybody else will in my humble opinion.
