  • Comments Thread For: Luis Concepcion Destroys Manuel Vargas in 76 Seconds

Panama's former WBA world champion Luis "El Nica" Concepcion had a quick return, destory Mexican veteran Manuel "Chango" Vargas in the first round at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama City, Panama. A powerful right to the jaw of Vargas was instrumental in the explosive knockout at just 1:16 into the first round. Concepcion wanted to make a statement and wanted to end the match early and did so against an opponent who was surprised by the power and deep strike capability of Panamanian boxer.

Good for Luis, but now he's gonna need another tune-up because those 76 seconds aren't gonna do him any good... Chango Vargas should strongly consider retirement!

I said it in the other thread, but that Cosio-Vasquez fight is worth checking out if it makes its way to YouTube. Fun fight.

Conception's a great fighter. He would beat Tyson Marquez in a rematch.

Flyweight division has a little bit of talent.

Regardles of Vargas always being there to be hit. Concepcion has some monster hands, after Vargas felt the first right hand it was over. I think he deserves a rematch against Marquez.
