Comments Thread For: Ruslan Chagaev Talks Povetkin Fight, WBA Title, More

The time is ticking for the anticipated fight between former world champion Ruslan Chagaev (27-1-1, 17 KOs) and perennial heavyweight contender Alexander Povetkin (21-0, 15 KOs) for the vacant WBA "regular" title. The fight will be held on August 27 in Erfurt, Germany. Inna Lagun wasted no time in speaking with Chagaev to know more about his preparations for one of the most important contests in his life.

I can't believe a guy who was destroyed by Wladimir Klitschko and a guy who ducked Wladimir Klitschko are fighting for a belt that Wladimir has around his waist.

    I FUC*ING HATE THE WBA!!!

Povetkin wins pretty decisively. Unfortunetly, Povetkin is too small to be the klits. A fight with haye would be a fight worth watching though.

Povetkin finally feels he's ready? Took long enough.

Chagaev is a nice humble person, i wish him luck. But he hasnt looked good in his last fights and comes from a long layoff.
Povetkin is also a good dude and i think he beats Chagaev. But it could be a good heavweight fight cause both guys are about the same size and weight and its no mismatch.
