Is this a duck by Vanes? WBC already said the ANGULO/VANES winner gets a shot at the WBC tittle which is held by SAUL ALVAREZ.

Vanes won a SEMI-FINAL eliminator not a tittle eliminator. That means he should of known their was one more bout to go before a tittle shot. But, I guess that's good for ANGULO...If Vanes Moves up in a weight that might automatically make Angulo Alvarez mandatory.

Castillejo was a 39-year-old blown up junior middleweight who was coming off a KO. Castillejo, whom I like a lot, had done nothing to earn his first title shot to begin with.
Why do people piss on Sturm?
Many of Sturm's 10 defenses have been against absolute CRAP opponents, and he lost the last one to Macklin but got a hometown decision.
He turned down a fortune to avoid fighting Abraham when he was IBF champ and he's refused to fight Golovkin, who is the current WBA beltholder.
And while he won't fight other belt-holders, he whines about how nobody worth a **** will fight him.
Maybe that's why.

Vanes has a fearsome trait that makes him indigestable for many top 154 lb.ers. He uses his legs, he's not flat footed, he's here and he's gone. He's hard to find when he doesn't want to be, and there,s no getting away for his prey when hurt. At least that's his claim and it works for a time. Other guys have talent too, but Vanes wants to put it on display now, against any of the best. Sturm would lose to the younger man anywhere but Germany, Perro would be the better fight, anywhere.
