What kind of fighters were Nacho Beristáin, Jack Mosley, Freddie Roach, Naazim Richardson, or Angelo Dundee? There is no reason at all why Hatton couldn't become a good trainer.

agreed to the degree that a "bad trainer" can train a lineal longtime champion and hall of famer

but his fighters have as "new school" of a professional style as you can get with the in and out stuff

Really? You're going with Jack Mosley?

                Funny

What is going to teach "good eating habits", let him try, it takes more to develop fighters than talking, its takes time, he can start out by providing the losers that the real trainers need.

Ricky will have them absorb a few hundred head shots then take a break and drink a pint. go another few rounds then learn taking the Hatton canvas nap mid ring. after a hearty meal comes addiction and drug time. what a hoot hatton training anyone. that's like giving eye drops to a peeping Tom.

                    You're right

I mean what young fighter would want to be trained by a former lineal champ and two weight world champion??

I have never seen people get more outta less ever in the boxing as Ricky and team Hatton did. He was matched incredibly well and fought to the only strengths he had. Good for Ricky Hatton, I for one think his passion for the sport will drive him to be the best possible trainer he can be. How anyone can slam him for this move is beyond me.
