The reason Maidana wants a Khan rematch is he knows he would get a bigger pay day.

He admitted him self he is open to fighting Morales if he is compensated accordingly which he believes he wasn't.

I can't help but laugh at the so called boxing fans who don't want to see a rematch of a fight of the year. Let's just do away with rematches all together right? I mean there really was no need to see Morales vs Barerra 2 & 3 was there? No need for the other Bowe vs Holyfield fights right? And to those people who don't think the fight was close, you really should find another sport to watch because you clearly don't know s**t about boxing. The fight was close and deserves a rematch. If you are Khan fans and you don't want Khan to rematch Maidana because it was a hard fight then you have missed the point of boxing. I'm not a Khan fan but I gave him full credit for his win against Maidana but I also give Maidana credit because with his limited amount of boxing skills he was able to give Khan hell. The only people that don't want to see a rematch of this fight are Khan nut huggers.

We will have to agree to disagree on a few things bro. I don't think the fight between Barerra and Morales was a hell of a lot closer if you score the fights round by round. I'll explain, I had Barerra winning the 1st fight by 2 rounds. All those rounds were very very close rounds. I had Khan winning by 2 rounds against Maidana also but quite a few of the rounds weren't so close. A lot of the rounds that Khan won he won clearly but a feel a lot of the closer rounds went to Maidana and there were a lot of close rounds in my opinion.

As for Maidana vs Guererro, I don't see how he will get any credit for a win and if he does win I feel a lot of Khan fans will say "Maidana beat a lightweight, how does he deserve a rematch with Khan because of that?" Its true that there was like 2 or 2 and a half years between the first and second Barerra/Morales fight but that doesn't mean all rematches should have to wait the same amount of time. I believe the second fight was a good fight but nowhere near as good as the first fight and maybe the time gap between the 2 fights had something to do with that.

I as a fan just want to see exciting fights. Khan vs Maidana was an exciting fight, a fight of the year and that's why I want to see a rematch. I don't want to wait around until the spark of the first fight has completely fizzled out. As for Maidana continually calling out Khan, I don't know how anybody can have anything bad to say about that. Its every fighters god given right to want to avenge a loss and it shound be commended by all boxing fans.

Fair points and I respect that. I don’t entirely agree but that’s cool as you say no reason why we can’t disagree and still keep it civil (a lot of people on these boards don’t seem to grasp that simple concept). I would like to see the Maidana fight at some point it was an exciting fight and most defiantly rematch worthy.
