Some people need to brush up on your definition of "knocked out cold."
Ricky Hatton got knocked out cold vs. Pacquiao.
Paul Williams got knocked out cold vs. Martinez.
Amir Khan got KO'd, but he was conscious and simply failed to beat the count.
But to answer the original question, easily Khan, though he graduated from "china chin" territory as he moved up to 140. I'd say Khan's chin is below average and Ortiz is average. They both have heart.Comment

Victors chin benefited the most from moving up in weight mainly because he was killing himself to make weight. I say victor has a good chin and khan has decent but slightly below average chin.
There is no way Khan could of taken that massive shot Victor took in the 6th by berto. Berto is faster and stronger than anyone at 140lbs. I was suprise victor stood up after watching the replay.Comment

Khan's got the same problem Tommy Hearns had. Ortiz has the same problem a young De La Hoya had. De La Hoya wasn't incapable of being knocked down, but he got up every time and was never really hurt (we're talking to the chin, not to the body). Now obviously Ortiz's chin isn't as good as De La Hoya's but still. Khan has a glass chin. It doesn't mean he'll get cold-****ed by any punch that lands solidly on his chin, as Hearns ran through lot of punches, but he will get hurt by most of them, and the "hurt" will last a while before he recovers.
Truth is, if Khan got hit by those same punches Ortiz took from Berto, he wouldn't have gotten up. Lets not forget Berto's power (along with his speed and accuracy) he may have been overrated, but he did have those assets. Maidana landed a solid shot on Ortiz and dropped him, and went on to land a series of vicious shots that landed flush and hard but still finished the fight on his feet. Khan got nipped at the end of a punch when he wasn't paying attention, and stayed stunned until the end of the fight, 3 rounds later.
And as far as Khan's chin getting better as he moved up in weight? Maybe it got better, but not since Maidana has he actually fought a solid (particularly one that can actually land)
KHAN HAS THE WORST CHIN BETWEEN THE 2Comment

Khan got KO'd, he wasn't completely out but he wasn't getting up after that second shot. He was barely conscious and about a hair from being asleep. Some people need to brush up on your definition of "knocked out cold."

To answer the question, one is a Mexican and the other is Wazza's cousin...............END/THREADLast edited by Cuauhtémoc1520; 08-09-2011, 08:00 AM.Comment
