David Rodriguez declared himself ready for the world after he beat Owen Beck. He's like 35-0 with 30ko's and can't fight at all.

    Why not?

Yes. Although he has a padded record, Rodriguez would be okay as a November opponent for Wlad.

Wlad will have 2 or 3 mandatories to deal with next year, but right now there are not a lot of options.

Wlad should go for Mormeck if there's no one else. At least Jean-Marc is coming off a couple of wins over fringe contenders.

Better than a journeyman who happens to be ranked like Welliver.
you know what better than nothing! if k2 can actually reach an agreement with mormeck than do this fight but mormeck is like a superstar in france and i bet he wants big money! to lure this guy out of france is another big challenge!
i really dont want wladimir to break his hands against ustinov and than waste time ! ustinov can do nothing good! hes just big like valuev! actually valuev isnt quite that bad he just super slow! but anyway i hope k2 finds a good boxer to challenge the champ a little bit in the ring!

I'd like to see Cuban boxer Mike Perez get a shot. He's probably not ready but he's an interesting fighter.

Franklin Lawrence or Cedric Boswell seem like decent stay busy opponents. Anyone know if they're available?

Suddenly a Marius Wach fight doesn't look that half bad...

Holyfield isn't ranked by any of the alphabet orgs, so Wlad can't make a voluntary defence against him.
