Tyson could have cut him down in a few rounds, but it wasn't worth it to him. He decided to quit.

Now I would bet my house that Tyson would ice Tarver at any point in his career. Tarver is a skinny, skinny, dude with a bird like build. One Tyson left hook, to the head or body, would put him in serious trouble. Tyson, even a sixty year old version, knows what to do when a guy is hurt.

I have no love for Tyson but he would kill Tarver. I can't see Tarver beating any experience heavyweight puncher with his bone structure and less than stellar reflexes.

He won't go any higher than cruiser if he knows what's good for him.
I agree with this post 100%.

Retirement? And resume his career as a mugger, maybe ... not as a fighter.

better if he fight opponents on lower level, gain some momentum, train harder, then fight elite, that is, if time (and possibly money) permits.

Tarver was intimidated by the one or two uppercuts Roy landed on him and became less active in their last fight ... if Mike threw one and MISSED, Tarver would soil himself!

there is no such thing as an easy fight for Tyson anymore...dare I say Tarver would win? yes I dare. Please people, Tyson is finished. I don't understand why people can't let go. Tarver is a tall guy who has a nice jab. He could esily fight at 200-210 with that body.

Tyson in prime would eat his children, but that was many moons ago.

I think what we're seeing here is an extreme reverse of the "Tyson could conquer the world" syndrome. We're now suggesting that someone naturally beneath his weight class could take him out. I'd be prepared to bet 100m that it wouldn't happen, shot Tyson or not. No rose tinted glasses, purely objective view.

Please let Tyson rest. He is done. There is no need for a once great fighter to continue this sideshow act that has been going on for too long anyway.

I've noticed that most RJJ fans are Tyson fans as well so I guess they wanted Iron Mike to beat on Tarver for their boy Roy.
