    Just rewatched Cotto vs Mosley

Cotto ate Mosley's best shots for at least 5 rounds and didn't slow down, had absolutely no marks on him, and this was a strong shane mosley too. While Cotto started breaking down against Margarito in the 6th round like I had never seen before.

There is no way Margarito could have broken him down and mutilated him the way he did without loaded gloves. There's just no way.

Margarito is the Mexican Resto. The difference is.. We PRs don't giv e a **** about Resto. Unfortunately, Margarito is still a role model for a lot of Mexican kids on this forum.

He also beat Mosley almost 4 years prior to "someone" which is considered that person's best win at 147.

Margo throws in volume with no breaks.

Mosley throws on or two punches at a time and clinch.

It allows for one to take a breath.

            Margs punches are cumulative.

even so, mosley was conecting with bombs. Nothing margarito hit cotto with is close to what mosley hit cotto with. There is just no way for cotto to be cut up like that. Some swelling, sure, but his face was a bloody mask.

incidently, cotto was dominating until the sixth round. incidently, margs shots were not affecting him until the sixth round. INcidently, the sixth round is about the time plaster hardens from the sweat. Then you take into account why his trainer said he loaded margs gloves, and would make even more sense to load them against somebody perceived as more dangerous than mosley.

                Two different fighting styles.

Mosley hits harder and faster than Margarito but he allowed Cotto to fight at his own pace and because of this, he didn't land as often as Margarito did and when he did land, Cotto was given more time to recover from them.

Margarito walked Cotto down as soon as round 1 started forcing him to use his legs more, throw more punches than he's used to and in the meantime was hitting him anywhere he could legally. He worked Cotto's body whenever he got close enough to also slow him down and he couldn't miss with his uppercuts.

Because of this, Cotto started feeling his stamina failing him about the 6th round which allowed Margarito to get closer more often, land more often and it also meant his shots did more damage.

Exactly...and I don't know many Mexicans that still think of him as high profile after the wraps incident...but if he can finish Cotto this time he will regain respect.

If Margarito wins rematch... How much of the plaster in fight 1 can be attributed to Cotto's slide in terms of confidence, swelling etc.

I like Margarito when I think of him as a balls to the wall fighter. But with the new plaster/Hydroxy "ring-crack" it really changes everything.

                    May the best man win.
