    Can't knock this guy, seriously.
well zavec is not getting any younger that's for sure. you can keep fighting bums only for that long ... until you figure out you could have been making much.more money by stepping up. not that he hasn't been making a decent buck here in slovenia (€50.000), but i'm sure he knows he is worth more.
now only senchenko has to figure this out already ...

However, regarding that call out video.... how often does Dejan watch boxing these days? He always mentions Cotto as a potential opponent. Cotto hasn't been a welterweight in years.
yeah it's funny how he likes to mention cotto /and margarito for that matter/ but i think he has a lot of respect for these two guys.
no real chance for a meeting in the ring though. esp. since both are under top rank, and tr is very conservative with opponent selections.

He is a good fighter not great but solid all around and capable of beating Berto who is not so good a boxer himself.

Zavec isn't even making 75K USD when he pulls 12K fans into a stadium? Wow, is SES is fucking him. No wonder he wanted out.

Senchenko actually broke off negotiations to fight Saul Alvarez because he wanted more money than GBP was offering. Apparently GB was offering 250k, but Senchenko wanted a half million. Probably because he knew he was basically selling his title.

Props to Zaveck for not doing what his fellow 147-pound belt holder Senchenko is doing and just fighting no-hope opponents at home. Zaveck is solid and IMO he has a real chance of winning this one

yep ~70k$. of course this doesn't include sponsorship money. let's be honest though, europe is not a great place to be earning grand buck. unless your surname is klitschko. SES can't do jack shyt about this i guess. i've been wandering what US based promoter would be willing to pick zavec up at all. i mean he's euro and 35....

yeah.gbp wanted to secure an easy strap for alvarez, and i'm glad neither boxer took the bait(zavec/senchenko). just look how they ****ed with matthew hatton. first they had a catchweight, then alvarez came in overweight, they did the last weigh in much earlier giving alvarez more time to rehydrate etc.

he's popular because he came from the social bottom, with hard work (imagine how hard it must be to become a world class boxer from a place like slovenia...). and after all that he still remains a humble and great person. i've personally met him multiple times, and what he says about fans is true. he's taking time for each one and everyone.
              he's slovenia's ricky hatton sorta.

it showed him a lot of things alright. especially that he has to win every fight by KO or die trying.points decisions are his biggest enemy.
He may be, as you say, from the social bottom, but what a difference I've always noticed in interviews between an American and a European. By comparison, they are gentlemanly, polite and modest, whereas the average American boasts, brags, threatens, all in the most basic form of language often fiiled with 4 letter words.

What you say about the title fight between Senchenko and Alvarez is interesting because of the golden Balls involvement. This is the first I've heard of it. If it had been Top Rank instead of Golden Balls we'd have heard reams and reams of denounciations about Arum making blood money, and greedy ***s and all other sorts of crap.

The failed transaction was a quite normal occurrence in the boxing world.

Senchenko never won his belt in the ring. He better keep hiding in Europe because the moment he faces a real fighter his reign as a paper champ will be over.

Props for Zaveck for showing in the USA. Berto is going down by KO in 7-10th round or Zaveck going down in 3-6 by KO.
