I’m glad Morales doesn’t want to fight Khan whilst I’m a fan of Khan I’m also a fan and admirer of El Terrible, It’s not hard to see how this fight would turn out and I as a fan don’t want to see it.

I think at this point Morales has earned the right to avoid a guy like Khan he has nothing to prove he is past his best and well north of his most effective weight class, he has given the sport of boxing some tremendous fights over the years.

Wise choice. Khan is simply unbeatable at this weight class under the tutlage of Freddie Roach. Aside from possibly Pacquiao, he's unbeatable at welter too. Expect the Maynevers to start accusing Khan of Roids very soon. The preferred ducking tactic of future welfare recipient ex champs.

Uh oh. Morales trying to upset the GBP apple cart.... Don't worry, GBP has time to get in his ear and set him straight. They want Khan to get that strap so they'll make him Morales (eh-hem *Marlon Brando voice*) "an offer he can't refuse".

According to Team Khan, he's only got 1 more fight at 140 so, it's now or never baby! And I don't think Morales is ready to step up to the 147's, so.... won't be long till Erik is changing his tune IMO. Money has a way of doing that unfortunately. It would be nice if El Terible stood by what he 'really' wants, but somehow I doubt it. GBP and $$$$ can be very persuasive.

Side note: There's a small part that tells me that Team Morales might be saying this strictly out of strategy. If he can make Team Khan believe he's NOT interested in fighting them, he may think he can get more money by acting like he doesn't care about fighting Khan. I mean, think about the pay difference he would get, Maidana versus Khan. At this stage in his career, why wouldn't he choose a fight that would surely gain him double what he would get fighting Maidana? I guess we'll see how badly Khan wants that strap (assuming Morales gets by Matthyse). His strategy (if it is one) might just work.

Yeah I see your point there but I heard something like morales was offered 1.5M for the khan fight before so that's a pretty good payday.
