Although I agree, Alvarez actually has much more to offer in the ring than Chavez Jr. So if he needs to rely on his appearance to get him noticed, why not lol, he isn't the only boxer to do so.

I dont know i lived in mexico and they never or rarely televised mayweathers fights. They mostly only televise mexican born fighters. They didnt even televise marquez fights. The good thing over there its all free

This isn't even a question.. You got MOney May on this card... The guys brings rating if there was no press conference, no marketing and no public appearance... BUt if there going to just tabulate the views at the same time and not overall ratings.. I think JCC will generate more because, Latino Fans respect him a bit more than a guy who fights guys 2 weight classes down... I think Latinos respect JCC more.. NOt that he's such a great fighter... Just because of his last name...Plus doesn't matter they both are paper champs...

Chavez jr is a joke. He is officially the tune up king. Isn't he already like 24 or 25 years old already. These are prime years and the years you should be fighting the elite like martinez, cotto, etc. I could see why Alvarez hasn't been thrown with the wolves yet because hes only 21. obviously Hearns doesnt deserve a title shot, but i dont think any boxing fan considers anyone but sergio martinez as middleweight champ - he beat the man (Pavlik) who beat the man (Taylor) who beat the man who unified the entire division's 4 titles (Hopkins).
That being sai, Chavez actually looked decent against Zbik, who is probably a legit top 10-15 contender. And although neither will ever be a lb 4 lb fighter Chavez jr. vs Manfredo in November should be an exciting scrap
