Floyd stans, Julio Cesar Chavez retired after fighting Terrence Ali,

(if he would have retired after Terrence Ali) would he have retired as the GOAT?

He was 87-0 with 71 KOs.

He beat Roger Mayweather, Jose Luis Ramirez, Hector Camacho, Meldrick Taylor, Edwin Rosario, Rocky Lockridge, Ruben Castillo, etc.

Longest undefeated streak in boxing history.

Sounds like Floyds career, "he woulda beat Cotto, he woulda beat Margarito, he woulda beat Williams, he woulda beat Pacquiao."

Now, seeing as how this is just a discussion about a made up scenario,

would that have made Chavez the GOAT?

      Yes or no?

Must be hard finding things to knock mayweather with when your boy Manny is fighting a lightweight who is going up two weight divisions.

What does Manny have to do with this?

          Nobody has even mentioned him.

          Now, back to the question.

If JCC retired after the Ali fight, would he be the GOAT?

No because he went 60-0 against less than par comp. His son is taking the same route. The next 27 made him a HOFer but not goat.

But 86 tried, and they failed 87 times. If some Floyd stans say Floyd is among the greatest of all time because hes undefeated,

surely you would agree JCC had he retired after 87, would be the GOAT. Seeing as how 87 is easily twice as many fights as 41, how could it not be true?

This has nothing to do with Floyd Mayweather so methinks you only mentioned him for the hits. Nonetheless JCC did face some good comp but let's be real here no fighter in this day and age with a record like that doesn't have a ton of pad on it.

But 86 tried and 87 failed.

Is that not good enough for GOAT consideration like Floyd, who only has 41 fights?
